Wanna know what I've been working on? Fiskars Certified Demonstrator Training - that's what. And I'm excited! I can't wait to begin teaching these classes. And so finally, after many behind the scenes starts and stops, I am pleased to announce that the demonstrator training dates have been set.
Training will be held at Ashburn Family Scrapbooking, 43150 Broadlands Center Plaza #160, Broadlands, VA 20148, on Saturday, March 1, and Saturday, March 15. Both sessions will begin at 1:00 p.m. I will also attend the weekend crop on the night of Saturday, March 8 to provide an informal training for those who are interested.
Registration is now underway. If you are interested in signing up for a session, you can either contact Family Scrapbooking or send me an email and I will add your name to the list. The cost of a session is FREE... and I will be giving out prizes to some of the lucky attendees! Such a deal.
Here is a sneak peek at some of the things I've been playing with these past days and weeks. It might not look like a lot, but the manual is jam-packed with tips and tricks of the trade and I've been reviewing everything as I've tried my hand at paper crafting again (it's been so long since I've played with paper!). These projects are way cool and they are really fun to put together (I didn't design the projects, I just followed the instructions). In the past, I've been accused of being a "tool impaired" crafter. I'm happy to say that those days are long gone and with this training, even *I* am able to work the tools and create works of heart. YAY ME! I never thought that would happen!
For those in the northern Virginia region, this is a phenomenal opportunity to participate in the first phase of many exciting things to come. And for those located elsewhere, check out the Fiskateers calendar for training dates in your area - because I know you will want to take advantage of this opportunity.
This is an exciting time in the craft industry - lots of advancements, improvements, changes, and growth, and I am so honored to participate in sharing the love of crafting by showing others how to do the same.
So... that's what I've been up to. Lots of crafting. And I can't begin to tell you how truly happy that makes me!
I was sorry to see none taking place in Florida!
