And in other news: Tonight as we did the dishes, Alyssa shyly told me that she has a boyfriend. She is almost 16 years old and this is her first official boyfriend. He attends the neighboring high school, which, according to Alyssa, is the best way to have a boyfriend because it doesn't create drama every day. I have to agree with her on that one. Thankfully, I know his mother. And although I'm having a major freak out, it is somewhat comforting to know the parents. Unfortunately, he drives a car, and that means that I have just added another item to my list of things to worry about.
American Idol: Tonight's episode was, in my opinion, the best ever American Idol to date. I love the classics. I adore Rod Stewart. And this season's contestants are the most talented group yet. Add those things together, and you've got a winning combination for a show. Even Simon was happy! I'm kicking myself because I did not think to TiVo it; I would have loved watching this episode again.
Back to the new tablet: If I thought there was a high learning with the digital scrapbooking, then I have just increased that curve tenfold by adding a tablet to the mix. But I couldn't resist. I've wanted one of these tablets for the past year, and once I began dabbling with the digi, I had a legitimate reason to buy a Wacom. The way I look at it is that if I am going to learn something new, I may as well learn all the way.
Congrats on the tablet! I love mine. :)

YOU GOT IT!!!! Now draw me a cool little picture. :)
And tell Alyssa she's a genious. As you well know, drama is the bane of my existence these days, and to recognize the need for a lack of drama at 16 is just wise beyond her years. SIGH!!!!!

I totally agree on Idol. It was smokin'. It gets harder every week to think about any of these people going home. They really are the best group they've ever had on the show.
Do you draw the cutest stick people, or what? LOL!

JEALOUS of the graphite! I just told Andy last night I wanted one. My photog teacher showed us some great things you can do with it with PSE.
AI . . . haven't watched it yet, but these are my kind of tunes.
Boyfriend . . .Alyssa's a smart girl on her reasoning! EEK on the whole car thing. Once again . . .I'm not letting my kids grow up!

Yeah...I'll worry with you. Stupid boys, getting in the way! :( I think it would be better if there was NO dating until they go to college--so we don't have to see them in an adult light! Or maybe not.
Cool about the tablet, but only because you can doodle on your blog. Nothing else. Digi-what?!? :)
I haven't watched Idol yet--Honey took me out to dinner after he got off work. Early! Well, not early, but earlier than it's been the past three months! Off to check out AI and Rod Stewart. And I.Love.Rod.Stewart! too.
xoxoxo,
B
