I totally agree with you - Memoirs of a Geisha is the best book I've ever read. I too didn't want it to end. I would only allow myself a little bit each day to make it last! I haven't seen the movie. The book was so incredible I don't want to ruin the way I remember the story by seeing the movie. I read it a few years ago. It may be time to read it again.

I love these LOs! They are just my style! Excellent work :) Good luck on the dress. How exciting!

great papers you created! You did good. The book . . .I'm the same way, and the same goes for the kids.

The dress.. . hoping you found someone.

Elsa Arce

Good luck with the dress situation.. If you don't find someone to fix your dress your other option is to stuff her with food..LOL (Just kidding)...

Great digital pages.. Way to go!!!!

I read the book also.. Totally loved it..and I also had to read the book before watching the movie, normally books are just filled with much more details that movies..I still haven't seen the movie..Let me know what you think about it..

Nikki Weber

I loved Memoirs too. I actually have not seen the movie because I loved the book so much and have this definite picture in my head of what these characters looked like. You'' have to let us know what you thought of the movie.

I will have to check that book out!!!

Kelly, good luck with the dress.... How fun about the Digi class! I've GOT to learn this stuff!!

I was also going to suggest that Alyssa just eat a lot this week. I'm sure she could fill that dress out... LOL!

I've not read that book... sounds like it's worth picking up...

Have a great day, Kelly!

I didn't read the book (which I plan to) but the movie moved me to tears beyond what I've cried in a long time. It's one of THE most beautiful movies I've seen since Joy Luck Club.
Good luck with the dress.

hoping you get the prom dres crisis averted. and I just might need to check out the book. I never watch movies that were books am generally disappointed.

overall the movie does a good job of telling the story. obviously a lot of detail is left out, but the main points are covered. they just don't tell you now it ends with her in NY and everything.

Your designs look great! I haven't had time to play with it beyond my first page...sigh...maybe next week! I wish that I was a seamstress! I'm sure you'll be able to find someone...or you could just visit the Cheesecake factory/Cold Stone Creamery a few times this week...ha ha.

I have had that book for a long time, and haven't had a chance to read it..haven't seen the movie yet either...thanks for the book review!
